Mein-led team inspects assembly works

ITANAGAR |  Jun 09 |Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Friday inspected to assess progress of under-construction auditorium hall and landscaping in State Assembly Building here.

Mein asked PWD CE to expedite works by doubling efforts, to work in three shifts to  complete the unfinished work within first week of July. He, however, asked them to ensure use of standard materials without any compromise.

Speaker Tenzing Norbu Thongdok urged the engineers concerned to complete the landscaping and main gate works soon to give the compound an aesthetic look.

He requested PWD to carry out maintenance of assembly approach road,  foot path on both sides with railing  and renovate damaged iron culvert at the junction near NH-415.

The CE assured that Auditorium Hall civil work will be completed by June 26 next with the PWD working round the clock to achieve the goal. He also assured to take up  maintenance of the approach road from NH-415 to assembly building.

The dignitaries, accompanied with Deputy Speaker Tumke Bagra, PWD Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso, PWD commissioner Bilatee Pertin, assembly secretary Legislative M. Lasa and PWD CE K. Wahge, inspected various assembly chambers, under-construction auditorium building to be used as a multi-purpose hall. (PRO)
